Summery Autumn Delights Vacationing Pupils
It is no secret that while the teacher is away the children will play, and the weatherman co-operated this week by providing skies at their summery best in the Ann Arbor area. Here Marjorie Price, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Price of 1140 Michigan, enjoys a chin-deep "dip" in a pile of leaves while her teacher and others throughout the area attend a regional conference of the Michigan Education Association.
Fall fell before "Indian summer" temperatures at the Walter G. Kell residence, 2432 Londonderry, yesterday as the Kell children brought out their wading pool from its premature winter storage. The youngsters (left to right) are Billy Kell, 4; Debbie Brody, 7; Laura Brody, 5, and Gayanne Kell, 6. It was a typical scene throughout Ann Arbor as youngsters took advantage of the weather on a two-day school "recess."
