Mrs. Rosetta Mackan
MILAN - Mrs. Rosetta Mackan, 79, a resident of Milan since 1912, died yesterday at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Flint. She lived at 71 First St., in Milan.
She was born on May 27, 1877, in Arthur, Ill., a daughter of William H. and Eliza Jones Smith. On Feb. 23, 1897, she married William D. Mackan at Arthur.
She was a member of the Milan Baptist Church.
Mr. Mackan died on Oct. 31, 1947.
Mrs. Mackan is survived by a son, Burthol C. Mackan of Royal Oak; a daughter, Mrs. Ernest Johnson of Millington; three grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Sarah Kanitz of Milan, Mrs. Charles Pfeiffer of Filson, Ill., Mrs. Roy Richards of Milan, Mrs. Curtis Pennell of Urbana, Ill., and Mrs. Thomas Sheffer of Plainfield, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Stevens & Bush Funeral Home in Milan, the Rev. Blake Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Marble Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
