Green, Violette R.

Age 91, died Sunday, August 25, 1985 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after an extended illness. She was born August 6, 1894, in Frankfort, Mich. the daughter of Seth and Sarah Hannan Soper. Mrs. Green had been a resident of Ann Arbor since 1935. She was married to Ernest D. Green April, 1913; he preceded her in death in 1935. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and the Phoebe Beal Circle of the Kings Daughters. She is survived by one daughter, Florence Sarah Wheaton of Ann Arbor; one grandson, Roland J. Green of Chicago; one great granddaughter, Violette Yvonne Green of Chicago. She was preceded in death by a son, James E. Green October of 1980. Cremation has taken place. A joint memorial service for Violette and her son-in-law, Richard Wheaton who died August 15, 1985, was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Calvary United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ira Fett officiating. Memorial tributes may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church.
