Fred Wolkert of 227 Murray Ave., and Patrolman Walter De Dula examine one of the three manhole covers blown more than 40 feet into the air in a telephone conduit explosion near S. Seventh and W. Washington Sts., S. Seventh at Liberty St., and at Murray Ave. and W. Washington St.
