Description

Black Pond Woods is a 34-acre woodland named for a small, vernal pond whose basin was carved by receding glaciers. Despite its small size, Black Pond Woods has three distinct habitat types within its boundaries that are home to a variety of wildlife. Each year, AADL partners with Natural Area Preservation (NAP) to lead a series of nature walks around parks and natural areas in Ann Arbor. These walks take place on the last Thursday of every month, April-September, and are a fun way to learn about native plants and animals! Wear comfortable shoes and bring water and bug spray if desired.

For this walk, meet on Tibbits Court, off of Pontiac Trail.

Hi @Kanchan21--this event takes place mostly on trails, so it is not particularly stroller friendly. However, many people do bring young children on these walks as they are slow-paced and fun! Thanks for asking!
