Description

She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen is a comedic romp about the female side of Dungeons and Dragons geek culture. It tells the story of Agnes Evans, a self-proclaimed “normal” girl who is grieving the untimely death of her younger sister, Tilly, someone who was she never quite able to understand. That is until Agnes stumbles across Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook and embarks on a fantastic quest filled with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and an abundance of ’90s pop culture.

The goal of the Ann Arbor Pub Reading Series is to bring together the theater community of Ann Arbor in an informal, frills-free environment to hear local actors read aloud from outstanding plays. It’s based on the concept of Irish pub-readings, where friends get together to sip a pint and listen to a well-known or influential play. The AADL Pub Reading Series is a partnership with PencilPoint TheatreWorks.
