Description
Circle Mirror Transformation by Annie Baker centers on a handful of small-town Vermont residents who gather each week for an acting class at their local community center. While playing seemingly trivial theater games, they begin to wage quiet wars against one other and discover small insights about themselves. Bittersweet, perceptive, and sharply funny, it won the 2010 Obie Award for Best New American Play.
The goal of the Ann Arbor Pub Reading Series is to bring together the theater community of Ann Arbor in an informal, frills-free environment to hear local actors read aloud from outstanding plays. It’s based on the concept of Irish pub-readings, where friends get together to sip a pint and listen to a well-known or influential play. The AADL Pub Reading Series is a partnership with PencilPoint TheatreWorks.
