MANCHESTER - Elmer H. Uphaus, 72, a lifelong resident of Sharon township and farmer, died Thursday at University Hospital in Ann Arbor.
He was born Oct. 11, 1873, a son of Bernard and Fredrika Meyer Uphaus.
Survivors include three brothers, Theodore J. and George, both of Manchester township, and Benjamin of Saline.
Funeral services in charge of the Jenter Funeral Home here are not yet complete. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Evangelical Orphan Home in Detroit.
