Join us for an evening with five local, published authors doing short readings from their books, and have a chance to chat and buy their books too!
Fifth Avenue Press authors, Jeff Kass and R.J. Fox will kick us off with readings from their books, Takedown and Tales From the Dork Side respectively.
Meet the authors:
Callie Feyen with The Teacher Diaries: Romeo and Juliet Callie Feyen is a writer and At-Risk Literacy Specialist in the Ypsilanti Community Schools. Before moving to Ann Arbor, she lived in the Washington DC area, and taught middle school English. She is a writer for Coffee+Crumbs, and TS Poetry, and her work has been featured in Good Letters, Relief Journal and Art House America.
Gerald Nicks with My European Adventures Since retiring in 2011, Gerald Nicks has traveled extensively in thirty cities in nineteen countries in Europe and has come to love Europe and its culture. He faithfully studies German and French and dreams of the day he will be completely fluent.
Michael Ferro with TITLE 13 Born and bred in the Detroit area, Michael attended Michigan State University and received a degree in Creative Writing. Michael is also a Sportswriter and a Features Writer for CBS and CBS Detroit, and a national music and sports columnist with AXS. Michael has lived, worked, and written throughout the Midwest; he currently resides in rural Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Light refreshments will be served.
This is part of the monthly Emerging Writers Workshops, which offer support, learning, and advice for local authors.
