Missing substance except in his bones, he lays there completely lifeless. He has already decomposed into nothing, his skeleton all that remains. Serving no other purpose than to horrify beachgoers with the sight and smell of him. One could begin to wonder if humans are any different, themselves more specifically. The only real difference, except perhaps the means of how the life was lost, is that humans throw whole celebrations, events dedicated to mourning a friend or loved one's life lost, while the fish just lays there, until a human takes him to a trash can or the tide takes him into the ocean. Are we any different? Yes, incredibly so.
