NEIGHBORLY FORTIFICATION: The current thaw, with its sticky (and wet) snow, is giving birth to snow forts and sculptures all around the city. These two fortifications (extreme right and left), being built by a small army of children in front of 276 and 268 Mason, are illustrative of 11th-hour vacation activity. One may wonder what will happen to nearby windows of the homes, occupied by the Richard C. Webbers and Robert J. Conlins respectively, if a snowball battle develops. Reports are that the snow condition is ideal for snowballs.
