Printmaking demonstration at library
Local artist Ann Mikolowski will present a demonstration on wood engraving and other printmaking techniques at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Ann Arbor Public Library, 343 S. Fifth Ave., lower-level multi-purpose room. The event is featured in conjunction with a traveling exhibit entitled “Barry Moser: Original Wood Engravings for Classic Children’s Literature,” on view at the library through Nov. 26. A native Detroiter, Mikolowski studied painting at Wayne State University and the Center for Creative Studies. Her paintings have been shown in galleries across the country, and her works are included in the collection of the Detroit Institute of Arts as well as many corporate collections.
