White Christmas Roses: These white Christmas roses are currently blooming in the garden of Dr. and Mrs. William B. Taylor, 2520 Devonshire Rd. The Christmas rose is so named because it sometimes blooms in early winter, even at Christmastime and in the snow. The rose (Helleborus) is a hardy plant as well as being lovely. This year the roses are blooming later than usual.
