Police seek woman

YPSILANTI - Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies are looking for a 24-year-old Superior Township woman missing since early Saturday morning.

The borrowed car Tammy Never was driving was found in the middle of Cornell Street in Ypsilanti with the keys in the ignition about 11:30 a.m., said Sheriff's Lt. R.J. Smith.

A diabetic, Niver must have regular injections of insulin, said Smith.

On Friday night, Niver had gone to her boyfriend's home on Stevens Drive in Ypsilanti Township and was due back at her apartment on Stamford Drive, which she shared with her two children, ages 1 1/2 and 3 years, and a roommate, who was babysitting the children that evening. Niver's boyfriend said he last saw her about 2:15 a.m. Saturday.

The roommate reported Never missing Saturday at 4 p.m. after Niver didn't show up for her job at a dry cleaning store on Hewitt Road, said Smith.

Never was described as about 5-feet-6-inches, about 125 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
