Description

This panel will consist of young adult women who have experience working in male-dominated fields, including science, math, and engineering. This discussion will be a great educational opportunity for girls and women who are interested in pursuing a career in a similar field, and has the potential to inspire young girls to continue studying STEM material. This event is also intended for individuals of all genders who are interested in hearing about the real experiences of women working in male-dominated spaces and how they have overcome adversity relating to gender. Panelists include:

- Charlotte Shreve, recent University of Michigan graduate and computer scientist

- Emma Kellenberg Callewaert, recent University of Michigan graduate and biomedical engineer

- Micaela Stevenson, University of Michigan medical student

- Alana Pollard, University of Michigan musical theatre major

- Shannon Riedel, University of Michigan graphic design minor

- Claire Collins, University of Michigan medical student

The panel will have both prepared questions as well as time for questions from the audience.
