The fullowing resolulions were vinnnimously paused by the New York Senaíe; and they expresa the feeling prevalen; through the whole country. 'Rrsolvei', That so much of .111 act of Congress, passed at its last bession, as enlaigps the franking privileges of members of Congrpss, imposes postnge on ïirwspnpers not conveyed by mail more than milrs from the place whore they are printed, - increases the postnge upon newspapers not sent from theoflioe oi' publiealion, nnd reqnirrs it to be )rcpaió, and prohibits enclosing letters for different persons in the pame envelope, in any case, was not demnndpd by the puin lic ser.timent or the public nteres-t, is impnliiic, unjust, and opprcssive, and ouht to herrppaled.
