Now the total amount of Flour received al Detroit, from all di red ons, is sbout 325,000 bbl. perannum. It is expected afier the enlire completion of the road in 1849. tliei'o will be eonveyed upon it nlcno, from Lnke Michigan, nnd intermedíate port, over 700,000 bbls. And tliose who are most familiar witli the capacityof the country which it pnrsetnre most sanguine of such a result. To accommodate this vast trade, the Company have purchascd a largo plat of ground, fronting upon the Detroit rivpr, whero they are preparing to erect, and will have compleled in the fall, a. Warehouse of four times the ground surface of the E:ist Albany Merchandize Depot, and Iwice the area of that in Boston. It is to he two ttories high - capnble of stowing as much upon the second as upon the fir.t floor. It will be the largest Freight Iloue. by a Imndred per cent. in this country, if not the largnst building, of the kind, in the world. The track wil! leave tlie present lino of the road about two miles and a hall' west of the present depot, pass to the river about a milo beluw the city, and run along the bank of the river to the new depot, in the western part of the city.
