John Patrick Carmody, 56, of 301 E. Ann St., died yesterday in St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital after an illness of several weeks.
Born May 10, 1896, in Chicago, he was a son of John and Martha Connors Carmody.
Surviving are one daughter, Patricia of Detroit; two sons, James of Detroit and John of Kansas City, Mo.; four sisters, Mary and Marcy Carmody of Detroit, Mrs. William McVicker of Pasadena, Calif. and Mrs. C. F. Shields of Dexter; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dexter, with Rev. Charles T. Walsh officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Carl Keehn Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tonight.
