Good morning America, my names is James A. Bryant, Chester Gray was my cousin he is from Union City Tn. Unfortunately we did realize that he was a professional baseball player, worst then that we didn't realize Chesley Gray had a history from the Negro League Baseball. But we knew he had some kind of history with the stories that he shared with us about Jackie Robinson and other negro league ball players of whom we later discovered was his roomate while playing with Kansas City Monarchs in 1945. He would invite my friends from the neighborhood ( now called Kerrytown) to his YMCA apartment and talk with us about baseball and show us his old trophies that we thought were just old trophies, we didn't understand we were in the room of loyalty.
