HRC Intern Is Accused Of Robbery

A student intern at the Human Relations Commission office was released without bond yesterday after he was arraigned on an armed robbery charge.

Larry T. Hunter, 18, of 809 McKinley was arrested by City Police Detective Sgt. Wilfred Lyons on a charge stemming from the robbery Dec. 6 of a pizza delivery driver.

John Proctor, the driver, told police he was robbed at gunpoint of $117 as he was making a delivery at 436 Third St. Proctor said the gunman stopped him on a landing at the Third St. address, took the money and a pizza and ordered him away.

Hunter was arraigned before District Court Judge Pieter G. V. Thomassen on the felony charge and demanded examination. That procedure was set for Dec. 24 and Judge Thomassen ordered the suspect released on his personal recognizance.

Hunter is listed as a student intern at the Human Relations Commission and also works as a janitor for the Model Cities Program.
