Emerging Writer's Workshop: Beginnings and Endings

When

Monday February 4, 2019: 7:00pm to 8:45pm

Where

Westgate Branch: West Side Room

Description

As difficult as it is to start a novel, sometimes it’s equally hard to end one. In this workshop, Alex Kourvo and Bethany Neal take a deep dive into the two most crucial points of a novel: the beginning and the end. We’ll discuss the kind of beginnings that make readers want to buy your book and the kinds of endings that make them want to buy your next one.

This is part of the monthly Emerging Writers Workshops, which offer support, learning, and advice for local authors. Each month, two weeks after the workshop, there is a meet-up where the instructors will read samples of your work and offer advice and assistance in a casual, supportive atmosphere.

Do you have a completed manuscript? Consider submitting it to the library's imprint Fifth Avenue Press.
