Description

Our weekly Letterpress Open Lab introduces the process and materials for printing by hand with wood type on a selection of antique printing presses, including a Vandercook cylinder proof press.

We'll show you the basics and help get you started on projects, and together, explore more advanced printing techniques with special guests.

No experience necessary.  All supplies provided. 

This program involves direct handling of lead-based type and is therefore not suitable for small children.
