TREE MULCH: The city's street maintenance crew is using this machine to pick up Christmas trees and reduce them to fine shavings which the city will use as mulch. The tree pickup program started yesterday and will continue through Thursday. Not all trees are being given this treatment. Some are being loaded on open trucks and will be burned at the city's sanitary landfill. Today crews worked in the area south of Main and Huron to Packard and tomorrow will be in the area from Packard southwest to Liberty extended and Thursday will cover the remainder of the city.
