The State A. A. Society hel J t aniversary at Salem, Sept 9ih. Provisión was made fora general system of po itioning to the State Legislature and to Congress : for a Dftpositorjr of antUlavery books and Publications : for tlie services ofan agent andthree itinerant lecturers : for the holding of 12 antUlavery Conventions. Antislavery resolutions üf the right stamp were adopted. The following was debated quite earnestly, but no vote seems to have been taken on it. "Resolved that in proecuting our great work of the slaves'' redemptiun, Liberty men shou'.d never feel thernselves authorized to vote for either wlugs or demócrata, as thoe parties are at present constituied; every iunh vote given reiards the slaves enlargement, strcngthens the hands of ihe slaveholders, hinds ihe chain on tlie slave. isa breachof fnith wilh every true Liberty man, and lat, but not leat, we soleinnly believe, is displeaing to God, tvho in his revealed will has given us such rules -nespectingtlte choire of miers, asif properly underst od will he Ibundtolally to inhibit ihe nMiiibeis of these proslnvery parties." 'I'le following delegatsto the Bufïh'o Convention were nppointed : E. Dem-ming, Daniel Worth, Dr. A. A. Ackloy, Robert Suswnrt, S, Hstdimg, Stephen C. Stevens, J. J. Demming, Moaex Swaim, Benjamin Slanton, Grove Piimpriiy, Calcb W cker.-hain, VV m. Benrd, Joualhafl Unddliston, J. Cable and ilicliard M. Ilaworth.
