At n moeting of ihe Liberty Party of Wa.'-h'enaw County, pursuant lo public notie at the Court House in Ann Arbor on Monday the 13h of Oct. inst., to nominnto Representatives to the Stnte Lpgislature, the mepting was cnllpd to order by Doet. Hill, and on molion, Clinndier Carter, of ManrhestPr, was c'iosen Chiunnn, ani D. Pomeroy of Salem, Si-cretary. On molion of T. Foster, it was votcd to proceeil to vote by general lallot for Represpniatives, wlien the following persons were nominaied: Charlks Tripp, Ann Arbor, Mijnnis Kknnv. That the Liberty men of Wahtenaw County, believing ihat the c.vise of liberty might suffer by a prematiipj nomination of :he nntional officers, recommend to the Convention to be assembled at Buffalo next week, to deler the nomination of President and Vice President until afier the npxt Sessior. of Congress, oruníil May or June nexi. On motion of Doet. Cowles, it was volei' to resol ve the meeting inlo a Senatorial Convention with the foimer oBScers. T. Foster, Dr. Hill and Mr. Thurher were appoinled a Committee to nomínate canJi.'a es for the Stnte Senate. The (ommittec, after Consultation reported the names of the following persons. Thomas McGer, of Jackson Edward P, Gay, of Livingston, who were unanimously chosen ns nominces or i'ne ensuing election. On tnotion, it HM voled ihnt Messrs. Hill, Noble and Jewett be a Senatorial and County Committee. Vote.1, that the proceedings of this meeting be published in the Signul of Liberty. Adjourned sine die.
