We see in the correspondence of the Pitisburgh Gazelte.dated at Cambridgp,O. Sept. lOth, that on the TuesJay previous, amob gathered in front of the office of "The Clarion of Freedom," an nbolition paper.printed in that place by M. R, Huil. and stoned andegged it for near!y a whole night. A public meeting had been held previ ous to this out break, in which resolutions ïad been adopted, ad vising him to desisi 'rom his course of calumnintion - a r quest which, it is said, was disregardcd l he editor. On the evening before that alhulcd to, i fight oocurrad betweer. nn abolitior.is' and one oi'lhe citizens - a crowd gathercd - and after the belligernts weie parted, repaired to the office, and comtnitted the o Urage above nained. On the followingmorning.CThursdayJ the cry was raised of ' Pa=k up the press and type, and send it off," which would have been done, had not the abolitionists nferfered and called for a suspension of hosiilities. The resuh of it was, that Huil should remove with his press from the village. During the armistice, Mr. Huil had a rencounler with one of our citizens, in which he was defeated, and somewhat wounded in the face.
