20th Century Club Honors Four Founders At Dinner In Union

Members of the Century Club honored four of the original founders of their group at a Founders’ Day dinner last night in the Michigan Union.

Those honored were Mrs. Arthur Van Sickle of Geddes Hgts., Mrs. U. G. Rickert of S. State St., Mrs. Carl Bay of Ferdon Rd., and Mrs. Nancy Staffan of Brockman Blvd. They were presented with corsages.

The club was organized in 1928 by eight Ann Arbor women and dedicated to the material aid of underprivileged of the community.

A social evening followed the dinner at the home of Mrs. Herbert Shaw of Geddes Rd. Plans were made to send another box to the group’s foster child in Czechoslovakia.

Members appointed to the nominating committee were Mrs. Staffan, Mrs. L. H. Hollway of E. Stadium Blvd., and Mrs. Walter Hiscock of Second St. Election of officers will be held at the next meeting.
