Mrs. Martin Attending Meeting In Washington

Margaret Nickerson Martin, of 304 E. Jefferson St., national vice-president of the American Federation of the Physically Handicapped, Inc., will leave for Washington by plane today to attend a national council meeting tomorrow and Sunday. 

The meeting was called by Paul A. Strachan, national president for consultation matters affecting handicapped people in job placement.

While there, Mrs. Martin will consult with Congressman Harry Kelly and Senator John Sparkman on the bill now being placed before Congress which would establish a commission for the physically handicapped in the federal government.

Mrs. Martin expects to return the first of March.
