You forgot to water the flowers?

You wanted to throw them out

Start fresh?

You wanted to pull them out,

Root

But you knew

How stressful it is to start new

And how beautiful they’d bloom

If it wasn’t for you

But why would you keep them?

Lifeless

Reminders of your failure and incompetence

It’s hard to bring the life back once it’s gone

But

You kept them

You nursed them back to health

You never forgot

And to this day

They wave in the wind

Thanking you

Just like those flowers,

There are people

In need of watering

Yet

We walk past them

Looking back in shame

Too scared to reach out

Imagine how great it would be

If you stopped and helped?

Imagine how beautiful

Imagine how pure

Reaching out and being their light

Watering them,

As they water you

How beautiful you both would
