For years she struggled with the idea of drinking coffee. Who would want to be jittery, shakey and more likely to have a heart attack? She would walk into starbucks with her lululemon leggings, sweater, and ugg boots with her hair in a messy bun at 7am every day and immediately turn around. The time came when she finally walked up to the counter. A girl working the register with bright pink hair looks up, “Hi welcome starbucks, what can I get for you?” she ordered a pumpkin spice latte and then made her way to her car. She knew she had to drink it and took a large sip. Her eyes widened and she knew she was now addicted, pumpkin spice lattes were now her life. She began going everyday, sometimes 3 or 4 times to get her fix. Eventually everyone started to realize she had was a problem, her parents hosting interventions and many stopping communication. In time her addiction stopped, her realization that family and friends were more important than a hot pumpkin drink.
