CLINTON - Mrs. John T. Clark, 84 years old and a longtime Clinton resident, died at her home here Saturday night following a long illness. A native of Blissfield where she was born May 14, 1858, Mrs. Clark came to Clinton when 20 years old and taught school here for two years. She married Mr. Clark, who survives, in 1880.

Mrs. Clark was a past president of the Lenawee County Federation of Woman's Clubs and was the author of the county federation's official song. She was also a past president of the Clinton Culture Club, had been a member of the Clinton Congregational church since coming here, was a member of the Women's Union of the church and of the church's service class.

Survivors other than the husband include a son, John R. Clark, Detroit; three daughters, Mrs. O. R. Blanchard, Morenci, and Mrs. Hazel Barnard and Mrs. Louise Kimball, both of Clinton; a brother, E. D. Newcomb, Jackson, and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were to have been held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Hause funeral home here, with Rev. O. E. Priest officiating. Burial was to be in Riverside cemetery.
