Age 45, passed away suddenly, October 18, 2000. She was a lifelong resident of Ann Arbor. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Dennis; three children, Tristan, Linden and Courtney; two brothers and a sister; along with many loving and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, William and Elaine (Rathbun) Jacobson; and a sister. Laura was graduated from Ann Arbor Community High in 1973, she earned her Bachelor of Science from EMU in 1980, and her Masters Degree in 1989 also from EMU. She was due to receive a Masters Degree in Art Therapy from Wayne State University in December of this year. Laura was retired from the Washtenaw County Juvenile Court after 20 years of service. She had served in many areas and retired as the Program Coordinator. She was currently working at Catholic Social Services and Clinique. Laura was a very passionate, generous, and giving person. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She went out of her way to help others and enjoyed spending her free time with family and friends. Funeral services will be held at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, October 24, 2000. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Washtenaw Area Council for Children Endowment Fund, 2765 Boardwalk, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
