The cat stares into my eyes,
I stare back into it’s,
The emptiness that was in of both us,
Is now long gone,

We were fighting battles within our own minds,
Day in and day out,
And they didn’t come easily,

It came with pain and sorrow,
For we were both left out on the front porch of what seemed like death,
She, a lonely yellow cat,
And I, a lonely blacked haired girl,

We both helped to save the other,
For what more did we have to do,
For what was life to both of us at that moment in time,
But to save another’s life from our own fate,

We both had the emptiness of love,
But now we have each other’s love,
No more emptiness,
Just the cat and I.
