Summer sunshine reflecting in my eyes
only to escape through my clouded mind.
Cowering bright light, easily afraid
by the darkness kept within me.
The midnight summer’s dream is confined.
Moments of reality when the iniquity sides with me.
The unveiling space called wickedness.
It’s scolding me in the light, but carries me to the darkness.
Eyes of sincerity that reflect upon me in the mirror,
tweaking me in the depth of my capacious skin.
Pain that turns me inside out only to suffer.
When I tell it to leave, it comes back with no fear.
Leaving these shallow scars within myself.
Because it’s part of me,
and I am bad.
