morelsWhether you're new to mushroom foraging or have some experience this workshop will be an informative and fascinating exploration of the biology, identification and medicinal qualities of mushrooms and fungi. Plus learn best harvesting practices, how to preserve and cook your mushrooms and more fungal innovations! 

Suede Mobley is mycophile, or a lover of mushrooms. He recently graduated from Western Michigan University. Suede also runs a large, and active Michigan Mushroom Hunters group on Facebook where he helps promote his love of the outdoors and fungi!

This event is just one part of our 3rd Annual Gardening & DIY Fest on Saturday, May 18 from 11:00-5:00 PM. In addition to the workshops there will be vendors selling handmade wares, plants, fresh flowers, body care and more!

There will also be representatives from area organizations like the Ann Arbor Farmers Market, Michigan Folk School, Ann Arbor Backyard Beekeepers Recycle Ann Arbor, Project Grow & many others!
