Drug transaction turns into robbery
A young Ann Arbor woman was punched in the face and robbed when a marijuana transaction went awry Wednesday evening, police reported.
The 17-year-old victim told investigators she was selling marijuana to a man in the 800 block of South State Street about 5:15 p.m. when the man suddenly punched her in the face with his fist.
“The suspect grabbed about a half-ounce of marijuana, took about $100 from the victim's purse and fled on foot," said Staff Sgt. Harold Tinsey.
