K OF C ACQUIRES PROPERTY: The local Knights of Columbus yesterday acquired from Mercywood Sanitarium 29 acres of Scio township land on which part of a family-type recreational facility will be built over a five-year period. Persons involved in negotiations leading to the acquisition are (seated) Russell Mynning, president of the Columbus Home Co., purchaser of the land, and Sister Mary Visitation, administrator of Mercywood Sanitarium. Standing (left to right) are Harry Hogan, Mercywood's assistant administrator; Leo H. Marburger, chairman of a K of C planning committee which will work out details of the family. type installation; Dr. J. A. Hergott, grand knight of the local K of C, and Frank Pennisi of Harkins & Pennisi Real Estate, who represented both parties in the property trans. action. The local K of C is acting to acquire an additional 16 acres of wooded land adjacent to the 29 acres. The property fronts on the south side of Ann Arbor-Dexter Rd. between Wagner and E. Delhi.
