Ground Broken For Saline Radio Station
SALINE — Ground was broken last week for Saline's new radio broadcasting station to be built on the Howard Singleton farm, east of the Saline-Ann Arbor Rd.
The total installation, including building and equipment, will cost approximately $40,000.
The station, WOIA, will start broadcasting on the 1290 kilocycle band this summer, with programs from sunrise to sundown. It is planned to reach an audience of 250,000 persons.
Architect for the building is Walter Anicka Associates, Ann Arbor Bridgeater Lumber Co. is the general contractor.
Officers of the Saline Broadcasting Co. are Meredith Bixby, president; Eugene Hannah, vice president; William Crim, secretary; and Henry Leutheuser, treasurer.
