Saline Radio Station OK’d
SALINE - The Federal Communications Commission yesterday granted the application of the Saline Broadcasting Co., Inc., of Saline to operate a radio station on 1290 kilocycles, 500 watts, daytime. It will bring a new radio service to about 250,000 persons.
The studio will be located on the Howard Singleton farm, Brassow Rd.
Officers of the corporation, all area residents, are Meredith Bixby, Saline, president; Eugene H. Hannah Ann Arbor, vice president; William D. Crim, Sa. line, secretary; and Mayor Henry Leutheuser, Saline, treasurer.
Directors are Carl A. Curtiss, Saline banker; Charles Uphaus, Milton Hartman, Everett Esch, Dr. Harold Miller, Robert Merchant and Arthur Moehn, all of Saline; Walter Hinderer, Manchester and Walter T. Anicka, Ann Arbor architect.
