Description

Before Dr. King’s tragic death, he spoke out more and more against war as part of "the giant triplets of racism, militarism and economic exploitation" even though some criticized him for doing so. Even now, on Martin Luther King Day when Dr. King is quoted widely, it is uncommon to hear his thoughts on war.

The local Chapter of Veterans For Peace will discuss Dr. King's speeches relating to war and militarism, showing that they are as relevant today as they were nearly 50 years ago.
