Car Passenger Collapses, Dies A 42-year-old Scio township man was pronounced dead on arrival at University Hospital shortly after noon yesterday minutes after he collapsed while riding in a car. Dr. James Taren, a deputy medical examiner, ruled Raymond E. Kurtz of 3739 Ann Arbor-Dexter Rd., was the victim of a heart attack. Sheriff's deputies said Kurtz was stricken as he rode in a car with his brother-in-law, George P. Hagopian, jr., of 1500 Hatcher Crescent. Officers said the car was on a service drive north of Six Mile Rd. in Northfield township when Kurtz complained of dizziness and an inability to breath properly. A minute later he had collapsed, deputies learned. Hagopian stopped the car and immediately began administering mouth - to - mouth respiration. Members of the Whitmore Lake Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call to the scene and administered oxygen. However Kurtz was pronounced dead on arrival at the U-M Hospital.
