Where

Downtown Library: Secret Lab

Description

In this self-guided demo, you can try out basic coding and physical computing on several different platforms, including the Raspberry Pi 4, Arduino, micro:bit, Flora, Espruino, Makey Makey and Circuit Playground. Try your hand at making wearable tech, solar-powered Morse Code transceivers, blackout poetry, animation with Scratch, and much more. Beginners are welcome.

Comments

Sure! If you bring your own Raspberry Pi, you can try many of the code projects on hand. Some of the demo stations at this event have particular hardware (camera, daughter boards, etc.) or a wholly different OS (Kali) so those may not be as applicable to the Pi you bring from home.

Thanks Christopher for introduction to the world of microprocessors and controllers! If I have more questions, is this a good platform to reach you?

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I'm happy to talk to you further about more programs like these and answer general questions about these boards. If you visit this page -- https://aadl.org/contactus -- and select "programs and events" for comment type and put my name in your question, it will get routed to me. Thanks again for coming to the program!
