Bromley Park Stays ‘As Is’

On the recommendation of the City Planning Commission, the City Council last night voted against the proposed relocation of a park in Bromley Subdivision and maintained the 15-foot minimum front setback requirement in the R4C multiple housing district.

The Arbor Heights Building Corp., developers of the subdivision, had wanted to move a planned 2 1/2-acre park to another location in the area. A parcel of about three-fourths of an acre between Aurora and Renfrew St. had already been dedicated as part of the originally planned larger park.

Petitions with 86 signatures were received last night calling for retention of the park area as previously planned.

In another action, the council returned to the Planning Commission the question of whether student co-operative housing should be in a two-family or multiple family zone.
