U-M Glee Club To Present Count Basie
The University Men’s Glee Club will present Count Basie and his orchestra in a jazz concert at 8 p.m. next Wednesday in Hill Auditorium. Featured as soloist will be vocalist Joe Williams.
The Count and his orchestra have just finished their first appearance at the Starlight Roof of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City.
All proceeds from the concert go to pay for the deficit intour of the Glee Club to the West Coast.
Tickets are now on sale at the Hill Auditorium box office. All seats are reserved.
