SHOWS CONSIDERABLE PROMISE: Miss Betty Jane Courtright, 16-year-old girl shown above, shows considerable promise as a golfer. Although she has been playing less than three years, Miss Courtright has posted an 86 at the Ann Arbor, 99 at Huron and 98 at Barton. She qualified for the championship flight in the city tournament, lost to Mrs. W. E. Forsythe and then won three straight matches, 8 and 7, to annex the title in the championship consolation. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Courtright. Ray is coach of the Michigan varsity golf team.
