Description

Paradigm is a group of artists from southeast Michigan dedicated to the concept of the quilt as art. Most members are professional artist - teaching, lecturing or selling their work. Although most of the art is textile based, members use many techniques in the production of their work. This work ranges from quilts to assemblages, collage, sculptures and now painting.

This exhibit was created based on a round robin of inspiration: where the first artist makes something which inspires the work of the second artists and so on. The collection of work is diverse and yet grounded in the consistency of each piece's size.

Paradigm Quilters have produced artwork for CS Mott Children's Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House in Ann Arbor, and for the Ann Arbor District Library.
