Description

In this project, we will combine creative cartography and book arts to make a self-folding mini-map. First, using basic geographic principles and drawing on fantasy maps from across genres, we will do a bit of world-building to produce a unique fantastical map. Then we will learn how to make simple book covers and use the Turkish map fold to transform your map into a 3D piece of art small enough to carry on your travels. This project will take the entire time to complete and is best suited for teens and adults.
