The friends of liberty and human rights in tin State of Michigan, nre requested to meet at Jack son on Wednesday the lfitli day of August next for more thorough organizador), and for mutual con siiltation, encourngeineut and support in the coming Pfeeldential contest. It need not be said that we are in the very mids of a crisis, involving envery thing dear and sacrec to American freemen ; and that mach of the safety and permanency of our iustitutiong, may, and probably wiU depend opon the enorgy and decisión of the Liberty party. Then let there be a great and general rally, not only of Liberty men of the State, bat of all who repudÃate the Casa and Taylor nomlnations. Let the masses come together, determined to sacrifice prejudice, party trammels, and mere namen, upon the altar of our country and our country's good.
