Description
Economic inequality in the US is at levels not seen in nearly 100 years. The talk will address the measurement of economic inequality and inform on the extent to which various economic forces and trends contribute to growing inequality. The presentation will explore a variety of policies that could address issues of growing inequality, the trade-offs involved in implementing them and the consequences of policy actions for economic outcomes.
Dmitriy Stolyarov is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Michigan. His research interests include macroeconomics, life-cycle economics and household finance.
