Ashworth, Wm. Chester 2915 Kimberly, Ann Arbor, Mich.
Age 74, passed away Saturday, May 8, 1982 in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Born Jan. 31, 1908 in Obion, Tenn., he was the son of George W. and Louella Everett Ashworth. On Feb. 3, 1940 he married Ruby Wilson; she survives. Mr. Ashworth moved to Ann Arbor in 1940 to work in the Willow Run Bomber Plant and in 1952 opened Chet’s Sunoco Station at 2630 Jackson Rd., retiring in Nov. of 1977. Survivors besides his wife include a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Peggy) Queen of San Jose, Calif.; five sisters; one brother; three grandchildren and one great grandson. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday from Bethany Bible Church, 4220 Packard Rd. with the Revs. Dwight Forshee and Steven Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nie-Fontana Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Rd., until 9 p.m. Monday, on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and at the church after 1 p.m.
